Poltergeist Report

 The Good:
THIS particular appearance of Taguro/Younger Toguro.
The inclusion of "mah boi" Bui:

Karasu with his mask on.

The Very Good:
Surprisingly, si Alfred/Kuwabara.

Inuulit ko, siya ang bias ko sa version na to.
The only character that brought a humorous side to the series.

The casting of Don Paquito Guinto /Gonzo Tarukane.

He looks like shit hence he is perfect for the role.

The casting of
Elder Toguro:

Perfect performance and voice acting, he is as crazy as his anime counterpart.

The fight scenes.

Tagalog dubbing and Netflix's acknowledgment of their renamed Pilipino names.
Hurray for the inclusion of Sir Monty Repuyan.
Or the original for Vincent / Sniper Hagiri (and several other characters).
Huwhat, hindi niyo kilala si Sir Monty?

!Mga gunggong!

Post-credit scenes.

Which was a great set-up for a possible Chapter Black/Sensui Arc.

The Bad:
The unnecessary usage of CGI at times.
The same expressionless face that Eugene/Yusuke makes.

Kulang pa sa acting workshop ni mami Ogie Diaz.

Dramatic scenes that lost their impact due to condensing.

The Ugly:
THIS!

Also, him.

I kinda don't like his face.
Which is kinda sad because Vincent / Hiei was my favorite character.

And most definitely, HER.

Same reason.

That's it!

Final verdict: Try not to compare this adaptation with the obviously superior anime version. There are certain key scenes, character developments, quirks, and nuances lost due to the condensing nature of the series. Try to think of it as a movie adaptation or as Ghost Fighter as summarized by a drunk friend who has spotty memory and only remembers the big fight scenes.
