Character Tropes : Warrior Monks

(Topic as unintentionally suggested by Happy Lockjaw.)

Warrior monks or Sōhei are fairly common characters in anime and fighting games.
But with the Philippines being predominantly a Catholic/Christian country, we might closely associate monks
with eastern religion or more ignorantly as kung-fu masters in Chinese movies.

Not to mention Pinoy's bad experiences with monks who are reported to be mostly swindlers/scammers.

There might have been more modern takes on this character trope.
Hence we are sticking with the old and more traditional looking monks (ex: in monk robes, sporting beads, moxibustion, etc.).
