Hard Times Blues

I don't have to say a lot more about the way I feel about Ric Flair. 

No respect! 

No honor! 

There is no honor among thieves in the first place. 

He put hard times on Dusty Rhodes and his family. 

You don't know what hard times are, daddy!

Hard times are when the textile workers around this country are out of work and got four, five kids, 

and can't pay their wages, 

can't buy their food.

Hard times are when the auto workers are out of work and they tell them 'Go home!'. 

And hard times are when a man has worked at a job thirty years
 — thirty years! 

— they give him a watch, kick him in the butt and say 

'Hey, a computer took your place, daddy!'. 

That's hard times! 

That's hard times. 

The Bull Of The Wood

2018 was such a busy year.
How so?
Well, we were too darn busy to both promote/hype our one and only convention appearance this year.
But then again, there was this poster right here:

So there is that.
And yes it REALLY did happen within this lifetime! And now that the dust had settled, we could finally talk more about it in details.
For after all, I'm just a common man.
If you will, bay-bay!

October 13-14 would just happen to be October Komiket.

A 2 day Komiket event held at Elements at Centris.

This would mark as the 2nd year and 9th month break from our supposedly self-imposed indefinite hiatus.

Phantasm (which was still an unnamed project as of October 6)

was a discontinued group collaboration between komiks friends.
A project that was later revisited and finished by Ardie Aquino and yours truly.

This was our first convention in years so you could bet your ass that we were going to snap away like there's no tomorrow.

The event had been on our favor from the get-go and we were able to kick names and take ass.
Hence here were a few familiar faces / new friends courtesy of Komiket 2018.

Two semi-connected stories set in space where there are few rules and the strongest survive. First, yes dark chapel is back, Yay!, with the story of the mafia assassin cook who maybe turns out well after being rescued. Also, ardie makes a no-dialogue story of a guy who saves this mysterious girl from immediate danger while in a space diner. Chapel's control of elements is getting better, while still being his irreverent self with good packed panels. Ardie's piece got a bit confusing toward the end, but is not a major complaint. Be aware that this has violence and dismemberment, but if that's fine with you or is your thing, maybe go find. #komiks #pinoykomiks

Despite the limited engagement, this was indeed a very fun comeback for yours truly.
This is an industry built on passion, friendship and a whole lot of determination.

We are definitely looking forward to our next convention and hopefully it doesn't take us another 2 years to do so.
