Rush N' Attack

Last monday afternoon, the good folks @ SSM! visited a humble little
(ok, maybe not so little) warehouse called *HALINA KABAYAN KO*.
Which roughly translates to as "WELCOME MY COUNTRYMEN."

Located @ 113 Quezon Ave. Sto Domingo Quezon City 
(near the intersection where the construction never gets done and before you'd reach SANCTUARIUM)

The store boast an assortment of japanese goods and merchandises.
Ranging from furnitures, office equipments, signature bags, action figures,
THE WORKS, baby!

But enough chit-chat, here's the real reason why we visited the place.

TSARAN!

Mangas.

More Mangas.

& Even More Mangas.

Mangas as far as the eyes can see.

You'd literally flip out your tongue as you gaze upon their mini library.
Ye olde titles like COBRA

3X3 EYES

to the more contemporary ones like

to name a few....

Some of which complete, then some of which just missing a few volumes.
BUT WHO'S COMPLAIN'N?
Definitely the GO-TO place to finally be able to complete your collection.
And how much is a single TANKOBON ,you might ask?
Well then, we'll just let their sign do all the talking.

A word of advice.
Although a lot of the mangas itself are in excellent condition.
The corners and the edges would usually be rather dusty.Hence, browsing for
them could quite frankly be a messy thing to do. So the wearing of a plain white tee
is most definitely a no-no. The same could be said for persons with specific
germ or dirt related allegergies.But not to worry. Nothing like a small
trip down the little JIMMY/SUSSIES room can't fix.A couple of handwashes
later then your good to go.

Mosquitoes and ventilation would also presents itself as a primary issue while manga searching.
It would be advisable for you not to bring anything(other than money,preferably 1k's worth would do)
like bags or work related documents as you'd more likely misplace or eventually
lose them along the way.

And since they were all directly imported from JAPAN.
The dialogues are obviously in JAPANESE.
The only english words you get to see are the words "JUMP COMICS"
the copyrights or the occassional engrish which is also at times part of the
story.

It wouldn't be easy to find the titles you like but the thrill is definitely in the hunt.
It sort of is like a huge guessing game.
There are a few of the weirder titles like this one.
Which is like a mash-up between NARUTO, ONE PIECE & BLEACH.

and need we say more about FAT HITLER?

But nothing would probably top the next one which features a bunch of kid monkeys
in a kimono and a chimpanzee fiddling a violin..

And oh, here's a quick tip for ya!
Whenever you see a YELLOW STICKER with these words written on them.

Then that would ultimatley mean that the book your holding is the series' last issue.
So don't expect a CONTINUATION or a SPIN-OFF.
'Coz when you see the word, then that's it. IT'S DONE!

In addition to the new titles you'd happen to chance upon,

it's also pretty inviting to see a couple of familiar faces like ONE PIECE

FLCL

SHADOW SKILL

or even  666 SATAN.

And speaking of new titles. There are also a handful of adult themed mangas
that features various sexual acts and weird fetishes. Definitely worth
checking out.

REMINDER :A lot of the *dicks and *pussies are totally censored out.
Either by a strip of black bar, erasure or the ever popular, pixelation.
If you watched a lot of japanese pornos within this lifetime then you'd
probably already knew what to expect.
